We are Barts and The London Dental Society!
Our school was opened in 1911- It is one of the oldest dental schools in the UK.
As a dental school we have developed over the past 100 years and are always in the process of continual improvement.
The student dental society was formed in 1912.
Every dental student is a member of the society which is run by a committee of 22 members, each assigned to fulfil a particular duty. The committee is elected by dental students each year and holds two meetings of DENTSOC and SSLC each month.
Our objectives:
- To be a bridge between dental students and staff at the dental school.
- To consider new ideas and maintain a continuous state of evolving and improving.
- Maintain professionalism within the society.
During your five years of study you will learn the finest techniques in dentistry which will equip you to become the best possible kind of dentist!

We will be looking for someone to represent the new HYGIENE THERAPY STUDENTS at the beginning of the new term.
The role involves voicing the opinions and concerns of your year to the committee, so that we can help make your university experience a great one!
So if you are coming to Barts in September and are friendly, motivated and want to get involved make sure you put yourself forward for nomination!!!
