We are Barts and The London Dental Society!
Our school was opened in 1911- It is one of the oldest dental schools in the UK.
As a dental school we have developed over the past 100 years and are always in the process of continual improvement.
The student dental society was formed in 1912.
Every dental student is a member of the society which is run by a committee of 22 members, each assigned to fulfil a particular duty. The committee is elected by dental students each year and holds two meetings of DENTSOC and SSLC each month.
Our objectives:
- To be a bridge between dental students and staff at the dental school.
- To consider new ideas and maintain a continuous state of evolving and improving.
- Maintain professionalism within the society.
During your five years of study you will learn the finest techniques in dentistry which will equip you to become the best possible kind of dentist!
Dental Trade Fair (Nov '11)
Thanks for coming down to the Trade Fair - hope you all got to speak to the companies and sponsors and stocked up on your freebies. I'm sure many of you left with pockets full of chewing gum like me!
We sold lots of discounted Xmas party tickets - well done for making the most of the £7 deal. Anyone who still hasn't got their hands on one, make sure you get them very very soon!!
The winner of the raffle will be announced shortly - up for grabs is a PAIR of TICKETS for the LONDON EYE and a SONICARE toothbrush!!
