We are Barts and The London Dental Society!
Our school was opened in 1911- It is one of the oldest dental schools in the UK.
As a dental school we have developed over the past 100 years and are always in the process of continual improvement.
The student dental society was formed in 1912.
Every dental student is a member of the society which is run by a committee of 22 members, each assigned to fulfil a particular duty. The committee is elected by dental students each year and holds two meetings of DENTSOC and SSLC each month.
Our objectives:
- To be a bridge between dental students and staff at the dental school.
- To consider new ideas and maintain a continuous state of evolving and improving.
- Maintain professionalism within the society.
During your five years of study you will learn the finest techniques in dentistry which will equip you to become the best possible kind of dentist!
5th Year Reps - Verity Shaw & Cassie Lewis
Hi, we are Verity & Cassie and we are the 5th year reps. Our role is to ensure that the final year runds smoothly and that the voices of our year group are heard. We will be working closely with group reps to ensure that there are no problems both socially and academically.
